Marking both an emotional milestone and a cinematic spectacle, the first teaser of Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, Jana Nayagan, was released today, coinciding with the actor’s 51st birthday.
Titled The First Roar, the 65-second teaser offers a glimpse of Vijay in a powerful new avatar as a police officer walking through a war-ravaged landscape, opening with his poignant words: "You guys will live in my heart."
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is a political action drama that serves as Vijay’s farewell to the silver screen before he transitions fully into politics through his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast featuring Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mamitha Baiju. Pooja Hegde recently wrapped up her portions on June 16, 2025, while Mamitha Baiju lauded Vijay’s professionalism on set, describing him as "very punctual" and "a good listener."
Adding to the excitement is the film’s music, composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Rumors are already circulating about a possible special farewell track titled One Last Song, reportedly to be sung by Vijay himself.
