Marathi actor and director Tushar Ghadigaonkar, only aged 34, died by suicide at his rented apartment in Goregaon West, Mumbai, on June 20, 2025. According to reports, his body was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan when his wife returned home from work.

Police sources revealed that Ghadigaonkar had been battling alcohol addiction and mental stress for the past year. The stress reportedly stemmed from the lack of stable work opportunities in the entertainment industry. He was said to be alone at home at the time of the incident and had consumed alcohol before taking the extreme step.
